It produces over 172,000,000 tons of CO2 per year. Georgia Power Company, a subsidiary of the Southern Company, contains the highest CO2 polluting powerplants in the country. The Scherer plant in Juliette, Georgia produces 25,300,000 tons of CO2 per year.
